Thai Championship
May 21-23, 1999 in Pasay City,
Philippines
ATBAP aims to promote and advance the development
of Muay Thai in the Philippines. The annual National Amateur
Muay Thai Championship is the most important contribution in
fulfilling this objective.
The 5th National Amateur Muay Thai Championship
was staged on May 21-23 at the Pasay City Sports Complex in Pasay
City, Philippines. It drew teams representing the host National
Capital Region, and Regions I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, IX and
XI. At stake
were berths in the RP Muay Thai National Team, who will represent
the Philippines in upcoming international competitions. The winning
athletes received trophies courtesy of The Royal Thai Embassy
in the Philippines. Medals were handed out by the distinguished
guest, Congressman Jesli Lapus.
